GREEN BAY – A proposed daytime resource center that could be used by homeless people in Green Bay is moving forward.
The city’s homeless task force wants to create a center at 600 S. Adams St. Lutheran Social Services would rent the building and run the center.
The city’s planning department says a conditional use permit for the center was turned in this week. It is on the plan commission’s March 24 agenda.
Lutheran Social Services would lease the space and run the center. Community leaders have been working to open a center near downtown since 2011.
