A state trooper who lost part of a leg in a crash hopes to return to duty.

Justin Hansen was hit by a car on Highway 41 near Menasha in January.

Hansen had part of his lower right leg amputated.

He’s had four surgeries so far, and there is no timeline when he may be able to return to work.

A benefit to help Hansen with medical expenses will held April 19th in Kaukauna.
