UW-Green Bay rewarded with Horizon League postseason awards

GREEN BAY – The UW-Green Bay Phoenix already claimed the Horizon League title, now the men’s hoops team is bringing home more hardware.

UWGB cleaned up as the Horizon League announced its postseason award winners Monday.

Junior Keifer Sykes was picked the Horizon League Player of the Year in voting of the League’s coaches, sports information directors and media.

Joining Sykes as individual award winners were teammate Alec Brown, chosen the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year, and Brian Wardle, picked as the Coach of the Year in the Horizon League.

In addition, Sykes and Brown were named to the Horizon League First Team. Brown and teammate Jordan Fouse were also selected to the All-Defensive Team.
