OSHKOSH – It’s a great opportunity for kids to take off into the world of aviation.
The EAA AirVenture Museum in Oshkosh hosted the annual Family Flight Fest this weekend.
Kids could watch demonstrations by volunteers and aviation enthusiasts from across the country.
They could also build their own model airplane, and test their flying skills in a simulator.
Organizers say the fest is a good way for kids to get hands on experience in a possible future career.
“It might be one of those things that pique their interest, and they find that aviation is something they want to be involved in or even if it’s simply mechanics or electronics, but something tangible that they want to learn. It’s a great way to get started on learning something new,” said organizer H.G. Frautschy.
The event is in its 11th year.
