Wind Chill Advisory continues until noon

There is a Wind Chill Advisory in effect for our area through noon today. Temperatures will drop to near -10 and a westerly wind will bring “feels like” temperatures to -25 degrees at times.

Wind chills this low can cause frostbite on exposed skin in less than 20 minutes.

Highs today will reach 10 and clouds will increase throughout the day. Southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph will result in wind chills between -10 and -15 all day.

A frontal boundary reinforces the Arctic air later today and it could bring some light snow. The best chance of snow will be late afternoon and into the evening but accumulations will be minimal, only up to an inch.

The low tonight will once again be well below zero and wind chills will be between -20 and -30; in that dangerous category.
