DE PERE – St. Norbert College has launched a smartphone app aimed at keeping people safe in the campus area.
The app, LiveSafe, allows students, faculty and staff to connect directly with officers. Those who use the app can send messages, along with photo, video and audio attachments. A live chat feature is also available. Crime tips and safety concerns can be sent, and users have the option of staying anonymous. Campus security officials can also send safety alerts through the app.
The app also includes an interactive map that displays where incidents have occurred, and a GPS monitoring feature that can be activated to let friends and family see a user’s location to make sure the user is safe.
The app is available for both iPhone and Android devices.
