MANITOWOC – Gamers gathered at the “Fire and Ice Game Convention” Sunday at the Manitowoc County Expo Center.
People played table-top games, card games, miniature games, and yes, a few computer games.
Organizers say the event gives people a chance to interact one-on-one, in person, as opposed to hiding behind a computer screen.
“This is an opportunity to not only be entertained, but also stimulate your mind. There’s a lot of educational opportunities and just to engage socially. You’re actually sitting down with another human being interacting and doing something fun,” said organizer Dan Kelm.
Organizers say people from all across the Midwest come to the convention.
This year marks the event’s 14th year.
