GREEN BAY – The spirit and style of Mardi Gras infused a sweet event at Preble High School Friday night.
The school’s StingCancer organization put on the annual dessert gala and fundraiser to mark its tenth anniversary, in the fight against cancer.
The event featured sweet treats whipped up by Preble culinary arts students. Guests could also bid in a silent auction.
The event raises money for community organizations that help and support people who have or are affected by cancer.
“This is kind of a special one being 10 years, and we’re just trying to celebrate the battle against cancer for everyone involved,” StingCancer Founder Nick Nesvacil said.
The event also featured music, and informational booths on community cancer resources.
