KIMBERLY – A Fox Valley man’s castle made out of Lincoln Logs has been crowned the world’s largest.

The Guinness Book of World Records has recognized Dave Stumpf’s castle as the structure using the most Lincoln Logs. Last September, Stumpf told us he was motivated to try to break the record when he heard a group in Lincoln, Neb. had set the record. That group’s structure used 10,036 logs. Stumpf told us he expected to use 14,000 Lincoln Logs in his castle.

He said he spent about $4,000 on the toy building materials.

Stumpf was notified of his Guinness record on Feb. 10.
