GREEN BAY – A new lab in Green Bay could prepare teens for manufacturing jobs at an earlier age.
The Bay Link Manufacturing lab is an effort that includes the Green Bay Area Public School District and NWTC.
A new learning lab is located at Green Bay West High School.
Students will be able to get real-word experience in manufacturing and engineering. Juniors and seniors can get college credit.
“We’re forging a new path here in Northeast Wisconsin. We’re talking about students not only learning by actually creating product, but we’re talking about students creating product that has value,” said NWTC President Jeff Rafn.
“I think it’s going to be very good for us, just the manufacturing and everything and just getting job experience it will be very good,” said Chris Ronsman, student.
The program will launch this upcoming fall.
