2 cans (21 ounces each) Cherry Pie Filling
1 box (15 ounces) Yellow Cake Mix
1 ½ sticks butter, melted
1/2 cup pecans or sliced almonds (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Dump cherry pie filling into the bottom of a baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
Sprinkle cake mix over the top of the fruit. Pour butter over the top. Bake 40 to 45 minutes. If using nuts, sprinkle on top the last 10 minutes of baking. Serve warm out of the oven. Great with vanilla ice cream on top.
