A man is in custody after a two-hour standoff in the city of Menasha overnight.
It started just after 12:00 a.m. Sunday in the area of Tayco Street and Broad Street.
Police say they got a report of a 40-year-old man who was going to commit suicide.
Officers tried to contact the man a number of times, but he refused to leave his home. Police say he told officers his guns were loaded, he was ready to fight and he was going to die.
Menasha police called in the Winnebago County SWAT team to help. Before the SWAT team arrived, the man came out of his house with two handguns.
Officers told him to drop the guns. He did and was taken into custody without incident. He is being evaluated at a hospital.
