GREEN BAY – Police are warning of people posing as Green Bay Water Utility employees and trying to get into homes.

Police say two separate incidents were reported in the 1400 blocks of Day St. and Farlin Ave.

One of the suspects was described as a white man around 50 years old. He was wearing green Army-style clothes. He identified himself as “Danny O’Brien.” Another suspect stood outside as a lookout, police say, and there is no description available.

The city’s water utility told police it does not have an employee by the name of Danny O’Brien. Water utility employees are dressed in a dark blue top with the water utility’s logo on it, as well as blue uniform pants.

Police remind you that if you are ever unsure of the identity of someone at your door, do not hesitate to call police.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Green Bay Police Department at (920) 448-3200. Anonymous tips can also be left with Crime Stoppers by phone at (920) 432-7867, online or by text-messaging GBTIP plus the message to 274637.
