1 3/4 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup ( 2 sticks) butter, softened
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons instant coffee granules or espresso powder, dissolved in 1 Tbsp hot water and cooled to room temp.
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon grated orange peel (optional)
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup chocolate covered toffee bits
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 13 by 9 inch baking pan. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in large bowl. Set aside.
Beat butter and sugars with electric mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add coffee mixture, vanilla and orange peel, if desired; Beat well; Add dry ingredients that were
set aside. Beat well. Stir in white chocolate chips and toffee bits.
Pour batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake 25 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack; Cut into bars.
Makes about 30 bars.
