LANGLADE COUNTY – Three people died in a Friday night accident after their SUV rolled over into a creek.

The Langlade County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call around 9:05 Friday night. The caller reported an SUV possibly rolled over into a creek in northern Langlade County near the Forest County line.

Deputies found a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee overturned and partially submerged in Pickerel Creek.

Rescue crews found the bodies of three men inside the submerged SUV.

Authorities have identified the driver and owner of the SUV as Gerald Randerson, 69, of Appleton.  The two passengers were found in the backseat have been identified as John Cohen, 50, of Combined Locks and Daniel Krubeck, 65, of Appleton.

Officials say their initial investigation determined the SUV was westbound on Pickerel Lake Road when it entered the ditch and went down an embankment. The vehicle overturned and came to a rest on its roof, which was partially submerged in the water after breaking through the ice.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
